Meet Krystal Hosmer

Krystal began working in the solar industry as the marketing director for a solar company after a successful 18-year career as a graphic designer and LOA instructor with UNLV Continuing Education. She found the solar industry aligned with her values of sustainable living and making wise financial decisions for the long term. Krystal also discovered that her teaching background and understanding of how people make purchase decisions from her days as a graphic designer enable her to talk honestly with clients about solar. 

She provides easy-to-understand explanations that dispel common solar myths and clear up misconceptions. Now, with Robco Electric, that teaching background helped her author our popular “Solar Contracts for Realtors” class with Blake Guinn – a former solar consultant and currently licensed Realtor – that helps Realtors better understand solar contracts and how they can impact resale transactions. The class is so helpful to realtors that it is currently being certified through Las Vegas Realtors for Continuing Education credit. Krystal was also invited to serve on the President’s Advisory Committee on Solar for Las Vegas Realtors and continues to advise the Board on solar-related matters in real estate transactions. 

She is also the author of our immensely popular “Going Solar – What You Need to Know” class that has been given at numerous HOAs and community events.  Krystal also assists commercial customers with larger solar installations, such as our two installations for Overton Power District, which serves Mesquite and Moapa. Clients frequently mention Krystal’s depth of knowledge, no-pressure approach, and exceptional customer service attitude in reviews. Krystal has lived in Las Vegas since 1979 and is the sixth of nine children. She is active in supporting electric vehicles and helping new owners become familiar with them. She drives her own Tesla and is involved in several electric vehicle groups in the Las Vegas area. She has one grown daughter, who also recently became a Tesla owner. In her free time, Krystal enjoys quilting and sewing. She loves to make clothes for her grandniece, Iris. She is an active member of our local quilt guild – currently serving as the Programming Chair. Some of her sun-themed wall quilts are hanging in our lobby.
